UID Workshop: “Cerik-Cerik Girang, Learn and Play” is a joyful celebration of childhood, learning, and cultural heritage—presented as part of UID’s ongoing commitment to inclusive and meaningful education. In commemoration of National Children’s Day, this special event offers an immersive experience where children, parents, and educators can come together to explore the beauty of Indonesian traditional games while gaining insights into the psychology of child development.

Held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM WITA at 3 Mountains, Kura Kura Bali SEZ, this free public event is open to families and communities who believe in the power of play as a foundation for growth.

The event will feature a talkshow on child psychology, led by Ni Made Pradnya Amadeandre Kusuma, M.Psi., Psychologist, from Pradnyagama Psychological Services & Child Development. This session will explore how traditional play supports emotional resilience, social skills, and cognitive development in children.

Participants will also enjoy hands-on sessions of "cerik-cerik", a beloved traditional game facilitated by I Putu Gede Gina Paramarta, S.Pd., from the Committee for Indonesian Traditional Games and Sports. The experience will be enriched with cultural context and storytelling, guided by Dr. I Wayan Repiyasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., the Committee’s Deputy Secretary.

Adding a unique artistic dimension to the workshop, the program will include a special presentation of the HATI Installation—a collaborative artwork created by 1,000 Indonesian children under the global network of Scholas Occurrentes. This installation is a heartfelt expression of children’s hopes, emotions, and creativity, representing the voices of the next generation through art.

Through this collaboration with the Committee for Indonesian Traditional Games and Sports and the Pradnyagama Foundation, the UID Workshop bridges tradition, psychology, education, and art—creating a vibrant space where children can feel seen, heard, and empowered.

We invite you to be part of this meaningful event. Come learn, laugh, and play with us—and celebrate the heart of childhood together.
